Merino Wool

Merino Wool

Naturally evolved over thousands of years, Merino Wool is made to withstand the elements while remaining incredibly soft and versatile. That’s why we choose it for our socks.

And if you’ve ever thought wool was uncomfortable, chances are it wasn’t the wool itself — it was the type of wool you were wearing. Merino Wool is naturally soft, breathable and comfortable against the skin, making it a better way to experience wool.

What Is Merino Wool?

Merino Wool is one of the world’s most versatile performance fibres. Naturally suited to life in the rugged highlands of New Zealand and Australia, Merino sheep produce wool renowned for its exceptional durability, softness and moisture-wicking performance.

Merino fibres are incredibly fine — around half the diameter of a human hair — yet remarkably resilient. They can withstand thousands of twists and stretches without breaking, making Merino Wool an ideal choice for socks built to perform.

What makes wool so unique is its natural elasticity. Tiny crimps within each fibre act like miniature springs, allowing the wool to stretch, move with you and naturally return to its original shape.

Compared with other sock materials, we choose Merino Wool for its exceptional durability, natural temperature regulation and silky-soft feel against the skin. It’s a performance fibre that works with your body, not against it.

What Is Merino Wool Good For?

Better yet, what isn’t Merino Wool good for?

You already know it’s a powerhouse for the outdoors, but Merino is just as well suited to everyday life. Naturally soft, breathable and temperature regulating, it’s as comfortable at home as it is on the trail.

From hiking to hanging at home, we’ve designed our socks to make the most of Merino’s natural abilities — so you can wear them every day, everywhere.
