Having had the explorer brand socks most of my life, I've yet to find an alternative. I would have to say the Pioneer Cushioned is a better sock. As a carpenter tradie wearing volleys all day, they are comfortable and dry . I will be getting more.
Socks are great the freight was a little slow.
Comfortable, good fitting and my feet feel dry after wearing them all day. Well done.
Like Bonds explorers USED to be, before they got cheap and started filling them with polyester.
I have tried many brands and types and have found these socks to be the best.
I bought 2x bamboo socks. Your sizes are 7-10 and 10-14. I am a size 10. I have skinny feet and ankles so I went with 7-10. The ankles are too tight, they literally cut off blood circulation to my feet. Your socks are VERY expensive. $50 a pair. I'm not risking another 50 to get sloppy oversized socks. I think I'll stick with my hard Yakka bamboos at $12.50 and they fit better and more comfortable and a quarter the price.
Thanks but no thanks.
Ben.
Very comfortable. Much better than explorers
Wearing very well
Your socks seem to wear very well

I absolutely love my OS's
Ive always been going for Explorer socks but these are far more superior in comfort when wearing workboots all day!!
Highly recommend if you're after comfort and that little bit of extra stretch 👌
The perfect work sock!! These socks are amazing, very soft and absolutely odour free tootsies. They are so good we ordered more straight away.
Great price, love the Australian made quality . Recommend to everyone.
Extremely comfortable socks and they do as advertised. Took 3 washes to break in properly so don't worry if you don't like them at first like I did. If there was one thing, I wish they were a bit shorter for the small size.
FAQs
What are the benefits of Merino wool socks?
Merino wool socks offer natural temperature regulation, breathability, and moisture-wicking properties. They keep your feet dry, warm in winter, and cool in summer—making them ideal for hiking, work, or everyday wear.
Are your Merino wool socks made in Australia?
Yes, all our Merino wool socks are proudly Australian made using 100% locally sourced Merino wool. We support Australian farmers and manufacturers to ensure high-quality, ethical production.
Are Merino wool socks good for hiking?
Absolutely. Merino hiking socks are a top choice for hikers due to their ability to reduce blisters, manage moisture, and stay comfortable on long treks. They're also naturally odor-resistant.
Can I wear Merino wool socks for work?
Yes. Merino wool work socks provide all-day comfort, especially for tradies, farmers, and anyone on their feet. They're durable, cushioned, and breathable—perfect for tough conditions.
Are Merino wool socks itchy?
Unlike traditional wool, Merino wool is ultra-fine and soft against the skin. Our socks are designed to be itch-free and comfortable for all-day wear.
How do I care for Merino wool socks?
To keep your Merino socks in top condition, wash them in cold water on a gentle cycle and air dry. Avoid hot water or tumble drying to preserve the natural fibres.
