Only Socks – Aussie Made, Built to Last

G’day, I’m Alastair  — I'm the founder of Only Socks.

I was born in Narrabri, NSW, and grew up on a small property where I learned the value of hard work early. I started working the cotton season when I was 15 for a bit of extra pocket money, then headed off to uni to study civil engineering. Turns out, that wasn’t quite my path.

Only Socks started as a bit of a joke between me and a mate after I blew a hole in the heel of a pair of socks I’d only had for a couple of months. I remember saying, “I reckon I could do a better job than this.” That offhand comment turned into a few mates wanting better socks… then their mates… and before long, Only Socks was born.

My theory is really simple.
If we're only going to make one thing! (socks)... We better do a bloody good job of it!

We started by creating a work sock designed for every Aussie who laces up a pair of boots each morning. Now, we’ve expanded into a premium sports sock and even a Koala Conservation Sock, where part of the proceeds go back to protecting our iconic wildlife.

At the heart of Only Socks are four key values:
